Negotiator / Procurement, Strasburg,OH - October 8, 2015
While working at Tremcar, I was able to expand on a lot of the skills that I had brought to the table there. At the time of my hiring they did not have the proper tools in place to restructure contracts as well as hone the current prices of the manufacturing components they were buying. I developed new relationships with vendors in order to cut the costs of materials and components substantially. In the first six months of my employments I was able to make a 600k reduction in overall cost savings. as time went on the ground work was played out for an over all savings of about 2.8 million dollars, but due to the sudden uncertainty of the change in the oil and gas sector I was unable to commit to the plan of action. The main focus of the company has been on the transportation of oil and similar products. With the current situation in the world right now and opec having its position that it does the business has slowed down drastically. The support of the upper level management was always there. it was nice to be at a company where we all cared about the same goal. Unfortunately with the economy and us slowing down they had to scale back to bare minimum. I spent 2 hours in the car each day traveling to the office and even with some rough winters it was never a big deal because the atmosphere was enjoyable. the pressure was really on some days but others not so much. while working there you felt as if you were part of the family. with it being family owned it was nice.
