Fun and laid back environment but get right down to business when there is work to be done
QA (Current Employee), Santa Monica, CAJuly 1, 2013
Pros: free fully stocked kitchens
Cons: long hours during development
Crazy hours during crunch. Excellent benefits in fully stocked kitchens and monthly extras such as Pinks hot dogs or In n Out truck.

A Typical Game Company
Associate Animator (Former Employee), Santa Monica, CAJanuary 2, 2013
Pros: reputation, resume builder, content.
Cons: hours, benefits
I've only worked at three game companies but Treyarch seems like an average company. The hours can be long and the benefits are nearly non-existent for contract workers. But you'll find that almost anywhere. The staff was friendly, but due to the office layout there was very little interaction between teammates. The pay was fair, and they recognized – more... California overtime laws, so compensation was good. You can tell the company is very proud of the work they do. The entire office is decorated with murals, war-time props, giant posters of concept art, previous games, and pretty much anything to break up the monotony of a regular office building. – less

Great coworkers and long hours working on blockbuster titles
Jr Systems Test Engineer (Former Employee), Santa Monica, CAMay 14, 2012
Pros: fun working environment, good pay
Cons: long working hours, job security isn't secure
I worked at Treyarch on the Multiplayer team for Modern Warfare 3 in team that was around 20 people. The couple months before the title launch hours can get a little hectic but anyone that works in the entertainment industry should already know this.

Management and co-workers were friendly and always very helpful.
