Managed the Day Supports Group three times per week for a total of 12 hours. Provided case management for chronically mentally ill for approximately 25 clients. Averaged 23 bill-ables per week. Coordinated services for clients, advocated on behalf of clients and supported clients in crisis. I learned the importance of balancing all of the requirements of a case manager.
Typical day consisted of meeting with clients either in the office or at their homes. If needed, attended appointments with client for additional support communicating with providers. Management was fair and consistent. The co-workers were a team and supported one another at all times. Seriously, had the best co-workers!
The hardest part of the job was leaving. Truly enjoyed working at Tri-County along with the clients. Most enjoyable part of the job was never having the same day twice.
