Some bad blood
Engineer Analyst, Fairfax, VA - August 16, 2013
I've...never really worked in a place (until this place) where being efficient and good at your work is a bad thing. Being former military (was still in at the time of working here), I was always told get the job done right the first time but don't mess around. For some reason working efficiently here made it seem like I was not actually trying to get the job done to the best of my abilities. Found that pretty crummy to be honest. The Manager who I was attached to also was not fun being around at all. She couldn't task manage herself out of a paper bag let alone pass on work towards me. I was forced to go to other project managers in other groups of the company to try and look for work. It was infuriating. Eventually I managed to find some solid work running Cat5e cables at a facility in an Air Force base because it was a contract as well as worked hand in hand with the head Electrical Engineer soldering and helping build devices for the projects that we were involved in.
