About Trinitas Regional Medical Center

Trinitas Hospital offers comprehensive medical/surgical services, senior services, adult and child/adolescent psychiatric care, maternal/child health services including a high-risk newborn nursery and inpatient pediatrics care, cardiac care, cancer services and an infectious disease program. The Hospital serves as the regional center for renal care, – more... providing inpatient treatment and dialysis, and two satellite dialysis centers. The Brother Bonaventure Extended Care Center is a 120-bed facility offering long-term and subacute care. The Emergency Department is the most experienced in Union County offering specialized treatment areas for pediatric, adult, and psychiatric emergencies to assure the most appropriate care. Trinitas Hospital also offers The Wound Healing Center, The Health and Rehabilitation Center, The Diabetes Management Center, a bloodless medicine and surgery program, physical medicine and rehabilitation services, state-of-the-art radiographic services, HIV services and a full array of ambulatory care clinics.

Trinitas Hospital is a Catholic teaching hospital sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, which is a leader in providing quality healthcare.

Students from the Trinitas School of Nursing are an integral part of the compassionate care offered at Trinitas Hospital as are the resident physicians that rotate here as part of their training with Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education. The residents train in Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology.

As a result of the consolidation of acute patient care services at the Williamson Street Campus, Trinitas Hospital has new and expanded facilities for such areas as Maternity, Pediatrics, Renal, Diagnostics, Intensive Care and Surgery. One of the most visible and significant projects involves the Emergency Department which underwent an expansion that doubled the number of treatment rooms to 27, and provided a separate 6-bed fast-track area, a 6-bed observation area, a decontamination room and designated children's treatment areas. Trinitas Hospital now has state-of-the-art facilities to treat an estimated 50,000 medical emergencies and 30,000 minor emergencies each year.

Trinitas Hospital is dedicated to partnering with the community to raise the health status of those who live in Eastern and Central Union County. To support this goal the Hospital offers a broad range of community outreach programs.
