The Trinity Mother Frances Health System is the leading provider of cardiovascular services in east Texas. Mother Frances Hospital established one of the nation's first coronary care units in 1960. Since then, over 30,000 cardiac procedures have been performed in Mother Frances Hospital. In 1989 the Wall Street Journal recognized the Mother Frances Hospital cardiovascular program as one of the ten best cardiac programs in the United States. Building on a tradition of excellence, the Trinity Mother Frances Health System today provides the region's largest and most experienced cardiovascular program.
Mother Frances Hospital has also changed over the years. What began as a 60-bed hospital has grown to over 350 beds. In 1989, Mother Frances Hospital was named "Texas Business of the Year" for its significant achievements in the area of business management, employee relations and community service. And we're also recognized for our excellence in areas like hearts, maternity care, emergency care, Level II trauma, pediatrics, ORTHOPAEDIC SERVICESS, and cancer. We also have regional primary care clinics that provide increased access to medical care for our rural neighbors.
