The Opportunity

  • Directly responsible for procuring the most optimum valued and appropriate products to be used in our food service units throughout the United States and Puerto Rico
  • Provide front line oversight to develop, maintain and routinely audit vendors who provide bakery, fresh produce and dairy items to our food service units
  • Prepare and coordinate the ongoing analysis of key commodities (meat, cheese, packaging, etc.) and drive category specific cost savings
  • Continually rationalize all vendor order guides as well as information provided by our Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), to ensure we are purchasing the most net-net cost effective product available
  • Identify cost saving opportunities through alternative product sourcing and services; continually challenge supplier base for innovation and cost optimization
  • Collaborate with purchasing team members to source, procure and distribute product which has been identified as the best value for Trinity Services Group
  • Establish a knowledge base so as to become a “subject matter expert” for all relevant vendor communication and ordering systems which may be used by our team leaders in our field operations

  • Ability to think strategically and execute/problem solve tactical issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with rapidly changing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with sourcing, contract negotiations and maintaining vendor relationships


  • At least five (5) years’ hands-on commercial food service
  • Two (2) year’s operations experience in the food service industry in an operations position of supervisory capacity or as a Unit Manager or District Manager
  • Strong planning, research, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and interpret MS excel spreadsheets to include

o Basic macro functions
o Data formatting functions (pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.)

  • Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers
  • Effective and decisive under pressure
