Trinity Washington University work study program was great. The pay is decent for student worker, but depending on a person need for money is may not be enough.

Great management and environment. Loved working here! Students were respectful and friendly and willing to work and study hard. Management cared about professors and provided resources to make our jobs easier.

Great Start
Lead Emergency Communications Specialist (Former Employee) –  Washington City, DCMarch 26, 2017
Human resources should never manage public safety and police. The biggest downfall to working here is Human Resources Policing Police. The benefits are what made me put up with such a disastrous management style.

Office Manager (Former Employee) –  Washington, DCSeptember 6, 2016
Any male or female that works there has to always remember that the students "ARE" always first and right no matter what. The pay isn't great and the benefits are poor as heck! It's a job. You can take classes for free and your kids(daughters) can go there for free. I'm sure your son can also take classes also. He just can't live on campus. The water cooler talk is the president should retire. Simple as that. They use to have a great facilities department until the university decided to outsource it a number of years ago. You should get more for your money but you're not. What a pity.
Pros
free classes to earn a degree
Cons
Senior Staff

Do not apply here!
Resident Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCNovember 7, 2014
Trinity is unique because you cannot compare it to any other university in the worst way possible. The university lacks structure across all departments. Campus morale for students and staff is very low. There is a high turnover rate due to the stressful and negative work environment. The pay is extremely low and staff are not adequately supported in terms of effectively doing their job. Rules and regulations are not always enforced and are always changing. The facilities are horrible, especially the resident halls for students. The university consistently fails the undergraduate students in more ways than one. The needs and wants of the students are poorly addressed, if handled at all. Trinity utilizes outdated and irrelevant program models to assist students but they are unwilling to change their practices to better serve the students. The institution always takes the position of the students versus a staff member, no matter if the student is wrong. Staff can be fired for no reason at all. The university has a commitment to social justice but the atmosphere is that of institutionalized slavery. Spare yourself the stress and do not apply here.
Cons
expensive benefits package, poor treatment of students, horrible staff morale, low pay, high turnover, poor communication and lack of structure, no work-life balance

Run Away From Here!
Academic Advisor (Former Employee) –  Washington, DCJuly 9, 2012
When I worked here people were frequently fired and left in droves. There isnt a work life balance, employees are often treated badly especially if they get sick. The President of this small university heavily micromanages every department. I watched Deans, Registrars and Program Directors get fired on the spot. The reason why job postings are so frequent at this company is because people leave all the time. The things they do are unethical. Only apply here if you want to be stressed out all the time.
Cons
work hours, management style, treatment of students
