Two game - industry veterans announced Monday the launch of Trion World Network, a new company focused on developing and publishing "games and original entertainment for the broadband era."
Headed by Lars Buttler, former vp of Global Online at Electronic Arts, and Jon Van Caneghem, founder and former president of New World Computing and creator of "Might and Magic and Heroes," Trion aims "to revolutionize entertainment by combining the best of online, gaming and traditional media."
Buttler will lead the company as CEO, while Van Caneghem will serve as president and chief creative officer. Buttler will draw on his experience at EA, where he led the publisher's strategy for online games ...
