Triplefin serves companies that just want to focus on the product or service and leave the rest to someone else. The company does everything from taking the order to shipping the product and collecting the bill. It provides order management and fulfillment services, customer support, product sales and marketing, vendor relationship management, and financial services. It also offers related IT services, including customer relationship management software, Web site development and hosting, systems integration with vendors, and online activity reports. Triplefin, which was established in 1981, caters to companies in the consumer products and health care industries.
Triplefin has been growing through the use of strategic acquisitions. In 2011 the company purchased Sharepoint Innovations, a developer of e-commerce applications. It did so to complement Triplefin's existing pharmaceutical marketing support services. In 2010, it obtained RxFreeCard, which provides free prescription discount cards to uninsured and underinsured patients.
The previous year Triplefin acquired a majority stake in RxHope, a New Jersey-based firm that provides an online marketplace where patients, physicians and health care providers can interact and manage patient care. Triplefin views the RxFreeCard acquisition as a perfect complement to its RxHope operations.
Only months before the RxHope deal, the company beefed up its technology infrastructure when it acquired an equity stake in Ontario, Canada-based Keyora, the maker of the Webfoot e-business platform for users of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics GP. Triplefin uses Keyora's technology in its order and fulfillment services. – less
