Low compensation and low moral
Environmental Field Service Technician (Current Employee) –  Somerville, MANovember 20, 2017
Within the field service division improperly management scoped jobs lead to field service members looking unprepared and unprofessional. Management promotes the importance of work/life balance, but quickly work, jobs and just getting the job done comes before employee moral.
Pros
Growing Company, Hard Working Culture, Great Training Programs, Opportunity for Advancement
Cons
Over worked, Underpaid, Under valued, Disrespected, Mismanaged, Overall worn out ambiance of colleagues from being stretched too thin

Not that bad of a job
Production Worker (Current Employee) –  Jeannette, PANovember 2, 2017
Currently working at Triumvirate. The one thing that sticks out is the dust and odor. They need to do something about air quality. If you work and hold yourself accoutable for your actions, then this is the place for you. Being a long term employee, I have found many men and women taking more time looking at their phones, then doing their jobs. These seem to be the ones that get angry and quit. Some days are very easy and some are stressful, just like any job. Communication between management is lacking but if I want an answer, I simply ask. It’s not for everyone, but if you can deal with the dust and odor, then it’s a nice stating point.
Pros
Co workers
Cons
Odor, dust

Maintenance Technician (Current Employee) –  Jeannette, PASeptember 29, 2017
bad management, hours suck, they make the pay and work schedule so you get less money. there is safety issues all over the plant, medical waste on the floor. 12 hour shifts are bad but the way they have it you lose hours and pay. company is going to close soon due to terrible management. Don't work here at all. pay sucks for production crew. Maintenance get better pay but not much.
Pros
close to home for the pay

Great people
Environmental Specialist (Current Employee) –  Somerville, MAMay 23, 2017
This is really the only benefit to this company. They hire great people. But they make these people more or less miserable over time. They really need to get their priorities straight. Figure out if its worth getting rid of/watching valuable employees go. Find a way to make people stay instead of wasting thousands of dollars every month to hire and train innocent new people, only to put them through the same thing. This company is too bottom heavy all the time and it's exhausting to the people that DO stay.
Pros
Co-workers
Cons
Communication is awful with operations, logistics is a nightmare, Horrible management and transportation compliance programs, "fend for yourself" attitude as to not burn bridges with hire-ups

Long hours for terrible pay. Opportunity for advancement is amazing though and you learn a ton of valuable skills and professionalism. Coworkers are great too. High turnover rate so the morale is pretty low but it was a positive experience, (Maybe I'm just optimistic).
Pros
coworkers
Cons
pay, hours, GM truly doesn't care about boots on the ground.

Good stepping stone company, but not a long term position
EH&S Consultant (Current Employee) –  Somerville, MANovember 9, 2016
Great mentors, but under pay employees with no long term future. This is a company that is good when used as a stepping stone, but isn't a long term career path for people.

I enjoyed working at Triumvirate Environmental. I learned a lot more about the company and the different training that goes into it. After speaking with the employees and learning about their job, you can tell they were passionate about their position.

Recent College Grads: Please, beware
Office Job (Former Employee) –  Astoria, NYJanuary 2, 2014
This company continues to function only because of the constant influx of recent college grads. The turnover rate for new employees is staggering. They hire recent grads because they don't know any better; younger employees have fewer expectations as far as salary and work-life balance. Triumvirate takes full advantage of that fact: they work you past your limits until you're fired or you quit, and will never take responsibility for having pushed you too far. They take pride in "running lean", meaning they hire barely enough people to get all the work done, which creates an extremely stressful and overburdened work life. Management in the NY branch is young and inexperienced at managing people, and it shows. More importantly, there is a complete lack of respect for your life outside of work. They regularly require employees to come in for 6am meetings, and you're required to stay until 5pm BUT leaving right at 5 is frowned upon. Another reviewer complained that they require a 9-hr workday... that's not true for the NY Branch. In NY, it's a minimum 10-hr workday. The running joke there is that there's an ex-wives/husbands club of all people whose marriages failed when their spouses took jobs at Triumvirate. The kicker is that they pay is abysmal for being a NYC-branch of the company. They barely pay a living wage to people who've been there only a couple years, which is to say 75% of their employees. I can't speak for the field staff, but don't even consider applying for an office position at this company. Worst job I ever had, and I know many people there feel  more... the same.  less
Pros
Fun work atmosphere (sometimes)
Cons
No work/life balance, low-level employees seen as completely expendable
