Maintenance Technician (Mpls/St Paul)
We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Multi Housing/Building Maintenance professional to join our team FULL TIME. This is NOT a "learn as you earn" position so PLEASE respond ONLY if you have "hands on" building maintenance experience of at least 2 years, a current Boilers License and basic electrical & plumbing skills.
General Job Duties:
-Communicate with Facilities Manager regarding new and/or on-going maintenance or janitorial issues
-Respond to emergency maintenance or engineering issues immediately to assess the need, make recommendations for repair or correction, and assure follow through with approved plan.
-Complete routine cleaning, janitorial and/or general maintenance duties for assigned property in a timely and thorough manner
-Perform daily monitoring and maintenance of mechanical rooms, including the boiler, water heaters, air handlers, fire protection and alarm systems.
-Proven commercial and Residential repair and service. Basic electric, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical skills.
-Ability to work with diverse population.
-Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
-Current boiler's license preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
-Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently with co-workers and clients.
-Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and calculate necessary materials for projects.
-Ability to independently move and lift, push, pull, or carry heavy equipment up to 80 pounds.
-Ability to bend, squat, reach, kneel and climb.
-Ability to work across many environments on the ground and on various elevations, including but not limited to ladders and/or scaffolding, and indoors and outdoors
-Ability to secure a favorable criminal background clearance (no Felonies)
