This is a extremely busy high volume call center with at least 100- 150 calls taken by each operator to register, schedule and assist patients and staff daily. People are always leaving and there are never enough employees for the volume of work in many positions. As a "Patient Scheduler" I've register/scheduling patients in various departments in the hospital, while following rules, regulations, guidelines and to comply with the HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
The hardest part of the job is to tell a patient their insurance is not accepted or there are no available appointment today. The most enjoyable part of the day is knowing that I put in 100% in assisting the caller. Also, the salary is incredibility low for the amount of work that we do on a daily basis. This is the best hospital learning experience that any one could have....you will be an asset in any hospital or medical setting with this experience!!!
