Great customer service experiences.
Independent Sales Consultant (Former Employee), Syracuse, NY – May 13, 2013
Pros: you can work when you want.
Cons: lack of transportation dampens sales efforts.
Attend weekly training meetings. Set up demonstrations of the product and explain the benefits and advantages of Tupperware. Process the people's orders and deliver them to the hostess. Invite others to become consultants.

Good Way to be Self Employed
Consultant (Former Employee), Ames, IA – April 6, 2013
Pros: self employed, discounts on products
Cons: expensive to build up stock
I learned how to advertise for my parties. Other things I learned mainly consisted of how to use various Tupperware products. The people who trained me were very fun and professional. The hardest part of the job was also the part that was most enjoyable: being in charge of my own schedule and sales.

Great way to travel, meet new people, and make money at the same time!
Consultant/Manager (Former Employee), Kalamazoo, MI – April 6, 2013
Pros: selling a product i love
Cons: traveling long distances in inclimate weather
Most of my "work time" was spent on in-home parties. I had a passion for the product, and enjoyed conducting these parties. I had a great support team, as well as a team of consultants that I was managing. The hardest part of this position was the travel involved, whereas the most enjoyable part was educating potential customers about the products' – more... uses. – less

Consultant (Current Employee), Anywere – March 27, 2013
Pros: meeting new people
Cons: takes up a lot of time at the beginning
This job is great for a stay at home mom during school hours. This job is fun fun fun. You get to meet new people and their success stories. You get what you put in and if you put in a lot of time you will make a great living on this. Starting out this is a very slow process. You feel overwhelmed with how much you got to carry around with you. After – more... a few weeks it becomes second nature. You always have your business card on you. You always have a book or a sales paper handy. Sitting in the doctor’s office looking at your book all you got to do is say to another person in there look at these wonderful things that we have. The pretty colors and all these different sizes. That starts a conversation and boom right there in there you just made a sale. This job is easy and fun just takes time at the beginning. – less

Self-Motivated workplace
Consultant (Current Employee), Calhan, CO – December 18, 2012
I enjoy this job, however I need something more secure. The people that I deal with are everyday people, I learn a lot about myselkf through these people. I like the job and I love the product that I sell. Tupperware has been around for years and anyone who knows a kitchen knows Tupperware. Not plastic ware.

Good for socializing and small amounts of spending money
Independent consultant (Former Employee), Georgia – December 16, 2012
Pros: complete control of your schedule
Cons: no steady income
A typical day as an independent Tupperware Consultant varies. You may be advertising for hosts, you may be planning a party, you may be demonstrating products at a show, you may be placing orders or servicing warranty requests. Each day brings as little or as much work as your motivated to do. I learned how to be self-motivated, how to speak in public, – more... how to market and advertise, and how to manage a database.Best of all, I enjoyed the social aspect of the job. The hardest part of the job is convincing people to buy the products and keep up with the minimum sales goal (without actually having to purchase items yourself). This IS NOT a GET RICH quick job, it's not even a job where you will make steady income. This is a great job to do to stay "in the workplace" while being a stay at home mom. The pay is commission based at 25% of sales. – less

A job with supportive teamwork
Molding Operator (Current Employee), Hemingway, SC – August 27, 2012
Tupperware has been a factory located in my community for over 30 years. When i came to work there in 2009, i found people from my church community as well as other familiar faces, so it gave me a much more comfortable atmosphere, which made tupperware much better despite the fast assembly line and everyone worked as a team. The supervisor was always – more... making sure we worked in the right position from day to day, which made the day go by faster and easier. – less

very difficult, unless you can sell, sell, sell.
Airborne Party Sales (Former Employee), Murrysville, PA – August 9, 2012
Pros: example: free lunches, etc.
Cons: no benefits, and no raises.
Having grand opening parties, with several people under you but not making much profit.
hardest part of the job was being able to keep your profit instead of having to pay half of someone else's grand opening that would be coming into the business.
Most enjoyable part was being able to work from home.

Cons: financial investment
Working with the people was my favorite part. However, the company was exceptional at lifting up their team and training when ever needed. Incentives were incredible.

Make Your Own Hours
Sales Consultant (Current Employee), Home-based – July 24, 2012
Pros: flexible schedule, excellent compensation, bonuses
Cons: based solely on sales, you make what you put into it.
This has been a great second job, allowing me to choose my own hours to work and providing extra income. My supervisor was very helpful and enthusiastic. I didn't have any co-workers. I spent a lot of time marketing not only the product, but myself to possible customers. I organized and held parties to make sales. All-in-all, an excellent customer service – more... experience, but I had trouble making sales because the products were expensive and there are so many alternatives available that are far more affordable. I very much enjoyed the social aspects of the job, and delivering a high-quality product. – less

Production all day long 12 hour shift.
Production Worker (Former Employee), Hemingway, SC – May 23, 2012
Typical day was like you inspect item to be shipped. You worked on a machine all day. It was not enjoyable at all and it didn't work with my outside life.

Fun, Flexible job that has potential to grow your own business
Sales Consultant (Current Employee), Antioch, IL – May 7, 2012
Pros: flexible hours, meeting new people, teaching great ideas
Cons: not getting enough in home parties as i would like
Selling Tupperware has been a passion since a teenager. I enjoy teaching people new ways to make better use of their time, money and space within their homes. Tupperware is not just for the kitchen any more. Getting the opportunity to meet new people and offer them the opportunity to own their own business can be very rewarding and life changing. Giving – more... others more opportunity to free up time to spend with family and friends, Tupperware can make life easier. – less

It taught me lot -how to be self employed.
Sales Rep. (Former Employee), Sterling, IL – May 4, 2012
Pros: learned how to be self employed- team effort, etc. today it might have changed lot...
Cons: no benefits such as healthcare, retirement plan etc.
I was new to this country and didn't know any one. So to make friends I thought I needed to offer something to talk to next door neighbor. So I started this job to meet people and make friends. I was self employed. If i sale more I make more. So it help me to drive to do better. So every day goal was to pick up the phone and letting customer know about – more... new products and new hostess gift help to set up the party. I learned good customer relation- by phone or face to face, how to Demo of new products, managing my time to make it best profitable to me and satisfy customers. The hardest part of the job was when customer didn't pay me in time to pay of my bills- took advantage of pay later after they received the orders. The most enjoyable part of the job- I made good friends, learned to keep good customer relations, work as a team- with manager, other sales rep. I also started selling Avon Product same time - as most of my customers were using both products. I made good connections in the town. I got opportunities to attend good encouraging sales meetings which helped me to do better in my self employed business. I loved it. – less
