Room Service Server (Former Employee), Verona, NY – May 27, 2013
Pros: flexible work schedule
Cons: management unfair, working holidays
Have to park in an employee parking lot and ride a bus over to casino. Usually busy all day long. Co-workers tend to stay in groups. Able to work any time due to being open 24 hours

My favorite job of all time
Security Officer (Former Employee), Verona, NY – December 30, 2012
Pros: my job in security, i loved it. good benefits, my supervisors. they were all great. i loved the people i worked with.
Cons: the only con was when i left the casino to move to north carolina for more opportunity.
I had a blast working at the Turning stone Casino. I worked primarily in the Hotel and convention center. I worked back stage at all concerts, and Ringside at all Boxing events. I worked High profile Security, I had the privilege of escorting all the celebrities that visited the Casino. That was one of my favorite parts of the job. I met a lot of famous – more... people. My favorite part of the job was that I was able to work on my own, independently. My supervisor worked a different shift from me, so I was entrusted with the job of running security in my jurisdiction. I was involved with investigating crimes that had taken place in the Casino with cooperation with the Oneida Nation Police. They were the best law enforcement agency I ever worked with. I also did an apprenticeship with the casino's Locksmith. I was also working on locks and replacing locks within the Casino and at other Oneida Nation Properties. – less

Food Server and dining attendant (Former Employee), Verona, New York – June 9, 2012
Pros: learning different job positions in the casino.
Cons: not very job advancement.
A typical day. Clock in. Go to work area and set up to began shift. I learned to wait on customers and take food orders. Management gave out areas where you were to work. Keep work areas clean and customers happy. Co-workers assisted if areas became busy. The hardest part of the job. Dealing with drunk customers. The most enjoyable part of the job, – more... was being able to work in different areas of the casino. – less

Cage Cashier (Former Employee), Verona, NY – March 15, 2012
Pros: good pay, 40 hours+
Cons: horrible management, long work days, little time off, weekends and hoildays are required
Not a bad place to work as long as you can shut your mouth and never speak up. Also never say no to anything that a manager tells you.
