Pros: great benefits, pay, loved my supervisor
Cons: demanding and had to learn to cope with being put on the table when product was wrong
I loved my position at Tyson. It was very fast paced, detail oriented, and self-motivating. I worked the second shift 3:30-midnight. During busy season it was typical for our shift to work 7 days as week, 10 hour days.
My position was considered an operator for pay, but the title was Label Verifier. I was in charge of making sure lines were set up to – more... run each product that evening, that the schedule was being followed, that any hams that were defective in texture were placed as a "number 2" and I was in charge of boxing, shipping and paperwork on those. I made great friends and do miss my job – less
