Anyone out there done this? I'm guessing it doesn't make more than $9/hr but I'm applying for this position. Its the job where you drive their vehicles to and from maintenance within a region. Its part time. Let me know what you know about this. I'll post my experiences if I get hired and someone reminds me by replying to the thread.

What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at U-Haul?
What do you like best about working at U-Haul? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

This will cause you to lose all your data. However it wont tell you til the end of the application that it timed out in the past. So if you start typing in your data, have it all in front of you and don't take a break. It only asks for your last 2 addresses, 5 jobs, so its not too detailed in terms of histories. Also be able to paste a cover letter and resume in. But don't lose all your work! You have been warned, the start screen will not tell you this!

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at U-Haul?
Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?
What is a typical day in the life of an employee at U-Haul?

Employment with UHaul of Sacramento is the worst mistake anyone could make. Frank Stadenrous, President of UHaul of Sacramento is the absolute worst manager I have ever seen. He manages by intimidation and the atmosphere of the area is one of fear on a daily basis for your job. There is no support or training and the pay is lousy.

Do you work at U-Haul? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?
Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Who does that.. your job is on the line day after day... basically in fear you will get axed.. and when u decide you have had enough, you do the right thing. give proper notice AND they still dont pay you.. I am in process of contacting the labor board AND the EEOC.. the grueling hours they make you work 40 paid 20 off the clock is AGAINST the law..

This position has been posted for months. Not only that, their application process violates FAIR EMPOLYMENT PRACTICES ACT, both state and Federal standards. EEOC for those who may not know... They have two other posts that have been on the net for a while. Unless you Spanish as a second, or first language, don't bother...

What is going on with their practice of collecting your SS# when you apply on the internet? This isn't common practice!
And before the interview, they want you to take a personality test and a mechanical reasoning test.
I thought that the interview was a time for both the employer and the job candidate to gather more information, in order to see if there was a good match. It seems that U-Haul collects more personal information about you than is customary!
I'm not sure if this company has any respect or even cares about their employees.
What do you think? Is this practice legal or ethical? Would you want to work for a company that treats potential employees like this - even before the interview?
