Great culture, great people. Decent starting pay
Personal Banker/ Loan Officer (Current Employee), Lacey SafewayMay 22, 2014
Pros: lots of downtime unless youre feeling proactive.
Cons: work weekends
Seemed to be a decent job. Everyone that works in-store always wants to move to a traditional branch. That's how I feel anyway, would be nice to have a desk. Little more solicitation than I would prefer but not too bad overall. If your'e decent at conversation its cake really. Very, very low incentive payouts. Maybe $100 if your'e lucky.

A place to work that has your best interest a hand
Customer Service Rep (Current Employee), Dayton, OHMay 21, 2014
Pros: i get off sunday's
Cons: would like 40 or more hours a week
I work at a bank and we are very short handed. So a lot of the time you are working on the line by your self. It is not great customer service in my book. I don't feel like I can take the time the customers need to take care of them. And I love giving great customer service. After all they are why I'm there. I love helping people figure out their problems – more... and help them with their day. I have some great co-workers we work really great as a team. Is trying to up sell when you have people waiting in line and your the only one on the line. You don't feel like you can take the time to up sell to them. I love what I do would just like more hours and a little more wage increase. – less

Personal Banker (Former Employee), Beaverton, ORMay 20, 2014
Pros: decent pay, reliable hours
Cons: tough to deal with management
Overall good company to work for, better if you're able to work your way up ASAP otherwise you get caught waiting for positions to open up.

Teller (Former Employee), beckett ridge, ohioMay 20, 2014
Pros: free lunches and meetings where we can meet other people
Cons: meeting up quota.
Typical day at work was constantly working with customers, making deposits/ withdrawals, cashing checks, selling bank products, making phone calls. I have learned how the banking system works, where our deposits go and how they are processed. Management was great, very helpful with constantly setting up meetings. Co-workers were super friendly and fun. – more... The hardest part may have been when a huge business deposit where customer didnt organize the deposit and i took huge amount of time. Most enjoyable part was work made fun and easier with co-workerrs. – less

A great work environment
Bank Teller (Former Employee), Kansas City, MOMay 19, 2014
Pros: great training, great co-workers, incentives
Cons: frequent management changes
Working at US Bank was one of my favorite jobs. I loved meeting new customers as well as getting to know the regulars. I enjoyed working with my co-workers. The hardest part about the job was management because there was always a change, we never kept a manager longer than 6 months and always getting use to different managers work ethics was a challenge. – more... The most enjoyable was the customer service and cash handling. – less

A day in my workplace
customer service representative (Former Employee), Denver, COMay 19, 2014
Pros: a lot of overtime was offered
Cons: management was poor at assisting us employees
A typical day at work included me arriving by 9 am, getting logged into my computers and phones, after I'm all settled in I would begin taking calls for the day. I learned multiple things everyday and majority of the time it was always something new. My co-workers and I wouldn't interact too often unless we were assisting each other with customer inquiries, – more... since we all did spend the majority of our day on the phones and remained focused. The hardest part of the job was assisting customers who were furious or would not accept no or any answer you really gave them. It does not make the job easy, however, every position can be that way. It's all about your attitude and how you handle yourself in varieties of situations. – less

Bank Teller (Former Employee), Taylorsville, UTMay 14, 2014
It was very hard to deal with rude customers sometimes and the pay was okay. There was much room for advancement but with my management, who was all women, you had to be someone's favorite.

Unfortunate Experience
Risk Project Manager (Current Employee), Horsham, PAMay 14, 2014
Pros: work from home....
Cons: discriminatory, lack of diversity
US Bank is not a good place to work for minorities. There is no diversity AT ALL. The most enjoyable part of the job is working from home. The management team is AWFUL and HR does absolutely nothing about the bullying, harassment, discrimination and micromanagement that goes on there. I would never recommend anyone, unless you are a white man, to work – more... at US Bank. – less

Big corporation = Dissatisfied employees
Bank Teller (Former Employee), San Jose, CAMay 13, 2014
Too big of a corporation that tends to forget the happiness of their employees. Seemed like profit was all they thought about. Customer service and satisfaction comes second.

Bank Teller, Vault Teller (Former Employee), San Diego, CAMay 13, 2014
Greet customers and help them with their transaction, I learned to pull some doc. from system and file them, order cash and ship buy and sell from tellers, do some cash surprises on them.
And always make sure that work comes first than friendship that we go to work not to make friends.
The most enjoyable part of my was that we help each other

Kickback, low sales goals, good staff
Teller (Former Employee), Kingman, AZMay 13, 2014
Pros: relaxed environment, low sales goals, good management
Cons: pay raises scarce
US Bank was an alright place to work. Their sales goals were much lower than the other big banks, which made the work environment less stressful. The staff all got along well and helped one another out when needed. The customers were awesome. Management was good.
