I've worked for a wireless company for 3 years. Never had attentdence issues, tardies, etc. I won 5 awards from this previous company doing the exact same job as this onefor u.s. cellular. But they sent an e-mail back saying that they are looking for "other individuals that best meet their companies needs?"

I have read numerous comments about the culture of U.S. Cellular. I have worked for three other large corporations. I lost my positions as a result of "reorganization" each time. I do not doubt anyone's horrific experience. However, I like eating and sleeping indoors. I do feel your pain! REALLY! Just share your grief in the approriate discussion thread. So, please do not reply if you cannot just give me the facts.... What is the range for base salaries for Store Managers? What is the commsssion structure for Store Managers? What is the employee cost of the Health Plan? What is the compnay match for Savings Plan? What is the tutition reimbursement structure like?

Beware, they will waste your time. If you want a job with these people you can plan to take 6 weeks of your time, without pay to possibly not even get a job. They will interview you repeatly, ask you to spend a day testing, interview you some more and then...then ... they might call you...or not...I know, that's what they did to me, too. I believe you need to be young and tacky to get a job here, that is all you will see in all of their stores.

I was just recently offered a position at US Cellular, and was just waiting for my Drug screen. I got all the papers I needed to read via email, but I remember the manager there told me there was somekind of discount on the phones and plans for employees. Anybody know what these "discounts" might be. BTW I am not in call center, its a technician position at a retail store.. Any insight would be awesome.
