U.S. Veg Corp is seeking an intelligent, organized and driven go-getter to help sell out corporate sponsorship for our next event that sees over 6000 attendees every year. o To secure sponsorship of U.S. Veg Corp events, including our flagship event: The NYC Vegetarian Food Festival.
o Our next major event is in early March. You will be responsible for carrying out all company's sponsorship sales goals and objectives, established by the head of sales.
SPECIFIC OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
o This person will secure corporate funding for The 2014 NYC Vegetarian Food Festival. Will also secure corporate funding U.S. Veg Corp’s semi annual events.
o Securing new individual and corporate supporters and renewing and cultivating current supporters to meet revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF EVENT SPONSORSHIP SALES ASSOCIATE
o Target the correct leads and create a achievable prospecting plan
o Maintain an ongoing relationship with corporate clients through in-person, telephone and email correspondence.
o Cold calling to develop new prospects as new business is essential.
o Business development opportunity with VP and CXOs of major solution providers and Fortune 1000 companies
o Follow up with prospects in a timely manner
o Prepare and present presentations for new and existing accounts.
o Work with prospects/clients and internal staff to create effective and acceptable sponsorship opportunities.
o Report weekly to the President and Founder progress made with clients.
o 3-5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in the environmental realm
o Bachelor’s degree
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Self-motivated, detail-oriented and goal-focused.
o Must be a team player that can also work independently.
o Ability to build strong internal support among diverse departments.
o Strong PC computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel
o Commitment to the mission and goals of green living and the vegetarian lifestyle.
o Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
The position will start off as a contracted position based on the initial engagement. We provide an exciting environment with flexibility, and aggressive commission to each sales professional.
