We’re currently seeking a Clinical Information Technology Manager to join our UCI IT department in Columbia, South Carolina. The position reports to the Chief Information Officer.
The incumbent is responsible for directing, developing, supporting and maintaining UCI’s Clinical information technology infrastructure. This is to include all workstations, local & wide area networks/servers, x86 based software applications, data & telecommunications, internet/intranet, Unified Communications devices, printers, mobile access infrastructures and devices, and other technologies for all UCI Medical Affiliates Clinics.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or engineering and five to seven years’ experience OR more than eight years’ experience developing and managing complex IT system environments.
IBM AIX, Linux, VMWARE, Windows OS & applications, CISCO networking & security, collaboration systems certifications or commensurate experience.
Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to communicate well with wide variety of individuals within the organization and work well in a team based environment.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to break down work effort, estimate time and manage to critical path.
Strong organizational skills; including the ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple tasks; strong ability and strong attention to details.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to research, interpret, and report on complex data.
Advanced ability in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Technical Manager experience leading a small team of technical people.
