UCI Medical Affiliates, Inc. (UCI) provides nonmedical management and administrative services to over 50 Doctors Care urgent care centers and 20 Progressive Physical Therapy facilities located throughout South Carolina and Tennessee. UCI is headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina. Doctors Care has operated for over 30 years, treating patients for treatment of outpatient acute, episodic and some minor chronic medical problems. The centers are open evenings and weekends. Centers are staffed by licensed physicians; physician assistants; nurse practitioners; licensed nurses, certified medical assistants, laboratory technicians, registered radiographic technologists; and administrative support staff. Progressive Physical Therapy (PPT) was founded over 20 years ago. These centers are staffed with certified, highly skilled therapists with years of experience and specialized training. We’re currently seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect and Engineer to join our UCI Clinical Information Technology department in Columbia, South Carolina. The position reports to the Manager of Clinical Information Technology.

Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for Enterprise Solutions and Services for a multi-site organization that includes a secure Network to support Electronic Medical Records and associated applications to meet the goals and objectives as specified by management. Develops network and application specifications, identifies the required inputs, and assures the appropriate outputs to meet users’ needs. May oversee implementation of specific system’s hardware, network and software for approved systems and business applications.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or engineering and eight to ten years’ experience OR more than ten years’ experience developing and managing complex systems networks and applications.
IBM AIX, Linux, VMWARE, Windows OS & applications, collaboration systems, applications programming experience.
CISCO network experience with 3 routing protocol, switches and associated network hardware and network software.
Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to communicate well with wide variety of individuals within the organization and work well in a team based environment.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to break down work effort, estimate time and manage to critical path.
Strong organizational skills; including the ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple takes; strong ability and strong attend to details.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to research, interpret, and report on complex data.
Advanced ability in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, IP routing/protocols, Unix systems, & network security.
