Salesman (Former Employee) –  Las Cruces, NMOctober 21, 2017
Just like anywhere there are things you'll have to learn on the job. Pretty much anyone can handle it. There is room for advancement which is good. Seems to be a fair place to work.

Package Handler (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TNOctober 21, 2017
you come into work and you unload trucks Monday - Friday, the tempo is fast paced and you have to finish unloading the trucks at a certain amount of time. The hardest part about the job is dealing with some of the lazy workers.

great benefits, low pay
Package Handler (Current Employee) –  Chelmsford, MAOctober 21, 2017
UPS offers great benefits but pay for part-time employees is sub par. The work is very physically challenging and the work environment is harsh. Summers are brutally hot and winters are very cold.
Pros
Great benefits
Cons
low wages for part-time

working here was so stressful and hard.
Package Handler (Former Employee) –  South San Francisco, CAOctober 21, 2017
Working here was so stressful for me I had to load the big trailers by myself and packages were backing up on the belt. Pay wasn't good and the hours weren't either.

I work for a UPS store
associate (Current Employee) –  Apple Valley, CAOctober 20, 2017
It would be unfair to review UPS, when the stores are Retail outlets and unrelated to working for UPS.

At this point I am typing to fill the 150 Minimum requirement to continue

Package Handler (Former Employee) –  Bedford Park, ILOctober 20, 2017
UPS is a very productive fast-paced working environment that requires you to be on your toes at all times being able to lift packages and have them placed correctly on the delivery truck so that the delivery driver can find them easier when delivering a package to a household

Truck Loader, currently working Part-time (Current Employee) –  Lancaster, PAOctober 20, 2017
everything is good working in UPS, but the only concern is the payment for the work you need to handle there is very poor and not very fair. I believe that for the amount of hard work should be paid much more.

It was an good place to work at, but when it rained the people outside the warehouse had bad conditions
Pre-loader (Former Employee) –  Riverside, CAOctober 20, 2017
The typical work days were good and the only reason it was tough was because things moved fast, but that's because it was the holidays. The only complaint is that when it rained the workers in the back had acquitted coverage.

Operations - Preload Manager, Sharonville (Former Employee) –  Cincinnati, OHOctober 20, 2017
After 34 years of service I was able to retire. Enough said. Good hard working people. Everyone wants to provide the best service possible. Buildings are too small to process the volume properly.
Pros
retirement
Cons
conference calls

PACKAGE HANDLER/SAFETY COMMITTE (Current Employee) –  El Centro, CAOctober 20, 2017
The job is tough and time is always against you. A constant sense of urgency and keeping busy is what's required to work in this place. Great benefits, but very poor management and HR communication. Perhaps in bigger cities this wouldn't be a problem.
Pros
Benefits, Paid time off
Cons
Short breaks, poor management, and terrible injury guidelines.

Package Handler (Former Employee) –  Lawnside, NJOctober 20, 2017
Do not work here, if you are not unionized they will over work you to death and it's not worth the stress, hard work that pays off to not even 200 dollars a week, you get 17 hours a week, they basically have you do so much work in such a little amount of time, its a joke and it's all lies.
Pros
Nothing unless you want to over work yourself and stress everyday for the benefits
Cons
No breaks, ridiculous amount of work, no hours, rude ignorant drivers

Package Handler/Driver (Former Employee) –  Maspeth, NYOctober 20, 2017
A good place to work if you like to stay active and keep moving. Always can count on a workout. But management is poor and forever will be. When peak season comes along just know they will forever look at you as lower then them. Not as a employee trying to make a living but as a underpaid slave.
