Challenging yet rewarding work enviroment
Customer Service Shift Manager (Former Employee), Charlotte, NC –
A typical work day would always include a challenge, whether it be dealing with an internal or external customer. The best part is there was never a boring day as you often would encounter the unusally unexpected.

A great place to work, wonderful conversations.
Ramp shift manager (Former Employee), Philadelphia, PA –
Pros: safety first and teamwork is everything.
Overseeing operations in my zone. Morning briefing safety first then agents assignments. Be outside 10min. prior to A/C arrival to the gate. Agents marshaled A/C into the gate chocked tires, begin inspection of A/C for damages. All damages are to be reported with-in 10min of arrival time. A/C will be offloaded, outbound bags will be loaded into A/C. – more...  After all bags and passengers have boarded, agents will do a departure inspection of the A/C. – less

Productive but non fun workplace.
Travel agent (Former Employee), Tempe, AZ –
Managers and supervisors do not care about employee's complaints.
If a supervisor doesn't like you, he will get you no matter what.
Lot of unfair termination by supervisors calling just another employee as a witness.

Pros: you get to work with some good people.

Customer Assistance Representative (Current Employee), Philadelphia, PA –
Us Airways is a nice place to work, but the pay rate is low. The flight benefits are excellent. However, the attendance policy is very strict.

This job was challenging.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), DFW Airport –
Pros: customer service was great!
Cons: poor management and corporate changes
I loved this job, but the management was almost nonexistent. The company was going through bankruptcy and downsizing. I was able to stay on and was trained ticket counter, baggage and gates. I loved the customer service aspect of it and it was never boring.

Schedule changes every 3 months
Reservations Sales Representative (Current Employee), Winston Salem, NC –
Have to bid on schedules every 3 months and if you are just hired into Reservations, you are the last to bid. Bidding on over 300 schedules and you may get a schedule that you don't really want.

Not an enjoyable place to work
IT Dept (Former Employee), Tempe Az –
Non Technical managers manage technical people. Individuals are 'subject matter experts' creating their own job security because no one else will know what they know. The overall salaries are very low compared to industry standards even in a bad economy.

Not a well Managed Airline
Specialist revenue accounting (Former Employee), Tempe, AZ –
Pros: free flights
Cons: poor leadership and low pay
The communication within this organization could be much better between managers and non management staff. The company is highly leveraged in terms of working capital to debt and this affects your pay and benefits a great deal. The environment is extremely strict (you must get permission to use restroom etc.) toxic at times.
