I worked here for a year, and I looked forward to coming to work for a long time. It was fun, the staff was like family, and the hours were great for a full-time student. The only thing I occasionally dreaded was the hostile work environment when working with those who did not care for me. It was just rude comments and horrible insults at every corner.
Management was awful when I first started because no one seemed to take responsibility over their actions or what happened on their shift. This began to get better towards the end of my career here. Another big pet peeve of mine was that night and day shift always seemed to battle against one another, and typically would do things to make the next shift's day harder. It was ridiculous and petty. (These antics began to wean off when I left.)
I do have to say that our customers were so lovely and were real blessings to us. For the most part, they were so understanding about everything and really made our days brighter.
