Great hourly people who enjoyed working with each other
Warehouse Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Twinsburg, OHMarch 22, 2017
Human Resource and Operations do not work with hourly employees. They offer open door policy and that is false. The management team only looks out for themselves and not the employees.Every 2-3 years there is new management and new Human resource personnel. No stability whatsoever. Facility looks horrible inside and out and does not hold employees responsible to clean after themselves. This is a great company but is run by wrong people at certain divisions.
Pros
Good pay and co workers are really nice
Cons
Too much turn over rate in operations department

Food Service Industry
Customer Service-National Sales (Current Employee) –  Lexington, SCMarch 21, 2017
One of the leaders in the food service industry. They probably service one of your favorite restaurants. They might even provide service to a hotel that you stay on family vacations.

challenging and rewarding career
Sales Territory Manager (Former Employee) –  Garland, TXMarch 14, 2017
Primary owner of Customer Relationship:
As a Territory Manager, you are expected to develop and grow existing customers and maximize profitable sales; make sales presentations to all customers on an agreed-upon and consistent basis. Here is where the job gets challenging. You are also expected to manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (e.g., delivery mispicks, short on loads, stock-outs). Along with handling accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.
You may have a really good plan for the day to grow existing customers and profits, but that plan gets torpedoed by a mispick or a short load or a credit issue and now you have to solve that problem. At the end of the day, when all of your customers recognize how hard that you work for them and give you the repeat business instead of giving it to the competition, you get that feeling of satisfaction!
Pros
challenging, rewarding, flexible
Cons
Seemingly lack of communication between different departments within the company

Going through changes
Territory Manager (Current Employee) –  IndianaMarch 13, 2017
Great company and going in a good direction. A lot of changes and no room for advancement with the lack of turn over. A lot of folks have been there a long time so it's hard to implement change.

Day in the life
Territory Manager (Current Employee) –  Myrtle Beach, SCMarch 6, 2017
No two days are the same. It is difficult having unorganized customers that do not order the correct items or not enough of the correct items. During the summer, you do not have any time off on the weekends. Always running around having to bail out customers.

Great place to work
Warehouse Clerk (Former Employee) –  St. Louis, MOMarch 5, 2017
US food is a great place to work if you are used to working in the food/warehouse industry. This is a very demanding job due to their business relies on the employees. The better US Food is meeting their customers agreements the better the business in return for the employees hours, over time , bigger checks, US food pays every week which is a plus. They have great insurance. Again this is a very physically demanding job. Only serious applicant should apply.
Pros
pay, understanding /caring manager, weekly pay, even temper co- workers
Cons
long hours, physically demanding, working in freezer, needing to pull orders @ 100 %.
