In Home sales
Senior Sales Manager (Former Employee), Irving, TXJune 10, 2014
Pros: great commission ladder
Cons: territory size
Typical day was to run in home sales for cabinet refacing. Selling in home is a challenge in that you are on a 1 call close. The customers were qualified by a 3rd party company. The territory covered was approximately a 100 mile radius, and sales calls could warrant 250 - 300 miles a day over a 15 hour period.

Fun but needed improvement within
Interior Design and Sales Consultant (Former Employee), San Antonio, TXApril 16, 2014
Although mid-level management was very supportive, co-workers were a joy to be around and the product was well known I have to rate this company low as there was no room for advancement, cooperate was not as involved as I felt they should be and at times the clients either were not screened at the call center or not informed and were in dangerous places or homes that could not use our products. Should have been a base pay along with commission instead of commission only.

Fast paced sales environment
Sales Manager (Former Employee), Wallingford, CTMarch 18, 2014
Pros: great leads
Cons: lack of time betwen salescalls
A diverse company with plenty of sales lads. Quick response to inquiries about position. Excellent training. Effective relationship with supervisor and co-workers. Hardest part of job was the imbalance between job and personal life. Most enjoyable part was the pace and amount of leads.

Its a job that can pay only if your good at talking to people appointment wise
Promotions Agent (Former Employee), las vegasJanuary 7, 2013
It was cool, somewhat place to work but out of all that the job was too cutthroat. you got you 40 hours but you had to be able to produce appointments 6 days a week and it had to be a bare mimium of 2 a day and not just one promotion but several different promotions. I was let go after only 2 weeks on the job because my appointment count was too low and they figured that its just wasnt for me. another part of the job was driving to other stores all over vegas and they didnt even compasate you for the gas you used for all the driving you do just to go get some appointments from the stores. you only got paid 60 bucks for an appointment that may not even happen.

It is commission only and you get reimbursed for nothing. There is something shady going on because only a couple salesmen make the big money. Everyone else gets the scraps.

Hard One Close Sales Pitch!
Sales Rep (Former Employee), sacramento, CADecember 19, 2012
Pros: good benefits, gas allowance, people are great!
Cons: no life, leads are barely warm, travel everywhere, expect to be on call all day until early evenings as well, no life!!
Recently purchased by Home Depot. Thought that would change the pricing structure for the better. Has not! Product is good high quality, however, it is so over priced for what it is. I had customers cancel due to they could purchase online from Home Depot and have it installed brand new for cheaper than the Refacing Program.

Not very comforting when you are representing Home Depot and hoping that the product and program you are representing is a fair price. They offer coupons for some discounts, but pretty much is a set price. I did the math, way over priced. I got out bid all of the time when I was up against others. I had a contractor laugh at me once.

Make sure you can handle the rejection and keep up a good attitude about it, for the next call. Money is good if you can sell it.Its a "One Call Close", with the typical "9" step selling system. Strong Armed.
Also the cases you carry around are easy 55 lbs. You at times will carry in 3 of them on each appt. Make sure you can lift them all day.

The leads are not that warm. They have marketers in the stores that approach people and ask if they are home owners and strong arm them into a "Free" consultation, cause that is how they are paid.
So, the leads are sorta luke warm, at best. Depending on your area and manager, the leads are assigned to you via email and not until late the nite before. Does not give you any time to plan your life. If you wait until am to pick up leads, you might miss your appt. time if you find you have to travel to somewhere 3 hours away and be there at 10:00????

Just be aware of what I learned, if you can handle all of that, you can make a good living, but will not have a life to spend it or probably anyone around to spend it with.
