U.S. Travel Association is currently seeking a Manager of Branding and Design to join our Marketing Services team. This individual will be responsible for contributing design support in the way of conceptualizing and executing association and/or marketing collateral, producing layout and design direction for critical projects, providing simple graphic design for in-house projects and assisting in the oversight of the overall brand strategy for the association.

Responsibilities include:

Create visually appealing print and electronic materials with the highest quality, accuracy and efficiency in mind. Manage design and copywriting process of new materials in a deadline environment to reflect established branding and design concepts. Materials may include: branded emails, one-page handouts/flyers, presentation materials, reports, brochures and other marketing collateral.
Manage layout and design process for Research and Advocacy reports. Design and layout reports in pre-production with powerful photos, illustrations, and info-graphic presentations to support and narrate data for trade and consumer use. Create designs to reflect unique nature of reports while maintaining U.S. Travel brand and style standards and consistency. Liaise with U.S. Travel’s director of research development and project management, and other association staff, as needed.
Design for pop-up requests and special projects as needed.
Support Sr. Director of Marketing Services on association branding strategy to include streamlining all association assets and creating universal style standards and guidelines.
Maintain all style sheets and templates for the U.S. Travel brand. Oversee review and approval process for all U.S. Travel products and suggest improvements as needed to ensure alignment with brand standards and guidelines prior to final production.
Execute all above tasks in collaboration with multiple U.S. Travel departments and an established workflow.
Essential functions/skills:

Proficient with typographic, layout and full-color printing skills (including knowledge for handling design and image files, necessary color and resolution for varying media outputs)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and – especially – PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) suites, and other print and digital design tools
Ability to design new materials in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team and various departments
Able to manage multiple projects from conception to execution
Knowledge of print production and different printing protocols
Outgoing, enthusiastic, self-starter
Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills
Great attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
