Uf is the worst place I have ever work for . I loved my job. But they are not fair with there employee they pull you in a room to write you up. And let people that you work with lie on you. And need to hear both sides. That should change. You should always hear both side. Before you start pointing fingers
Having worked in health care in other states, I'm now retired but as a manager early in my career, I was more successful using the team approach and allowing non managerial staff to make suggesions and comments regarding work atmosphere and procedural gliches. Complaints without suggestions of how to improve were not helpful if given unprofessionally. Everyone must be treated respectfully even when errors are made. Discipline and admonish errors in Private...not in front of other employees. All employees at all levels should periodically take courses on professionalism, acceptible responses to difficult pts.etc. with proper security measures in place when employees are mistreated. Sometimes just uniformed security making an appearance calms pts. down. Employees supported by administration tend to be better workers.
Nurse Managers and Asst Nurse Managers have the hardest jobs in this organization. You are caught between the staff and upper management. By his us simply caught between a rock and a hard place. You simply can not win!
Pay the registration specialist and ma more money since they do all the work.
Listen to the lower level employees. Upper management is unknowing and could care less it's all about the money not patients or employees.
Listen to the employees, they are the backbone of the establishment. Let the voices be heard
