Intimidation used to control employees
Care manager (Former Employee), Norcross, Ga – June 16, 2013
Pros: close commute
Cons: no holidays off, fight for parking spaces, poor management, treated like a child, cult environment, no room for career grow, added job duties with no extra compensation, basically you train yourself by trial an error
This has been the worst work experience I have ever had. I haven't met anyone who is happy with their job or has plans to stay. The company only offers one paid holiday which is Christmas day and if you want any other holiday off you have to use an earned PTO day. Management never bothered to disclose this information during my interview. One particular – more... manager loves to intimidate employees by making them feel that they are not capable of performing their job without her supervision. This manager is a very poor communicator and does not have the basic capibilities of being anyone's supervisor. This is the type of work environment that makes a person lose any self esteem they walked in with. I am so thankful that I saw the writing on the wall and got out with my esteem still intacted. – less

If u value your nursing license: DONT WORK HERE
Rn charge nurse (Former Employee), estill,sc – June 6, 2013
Pros: the salary wasnt bad but i wont compromise on my integrity for anyone!
Cons: always understaffed, blatant bullying, retaliation, unfair practices, micromanaged
Before I started working for this company I truly enjoyed nursing, at one of their facilities you are asked to perform procedures outside of your scope of practice, for example an lpn cannot give iv push meds. There is no need to complain to management because they are the issue, you are either ignored or retaliated against. The patient should be the – more... highest priority and their opinions dont even count, at the facility in estill their tv was taken away, during my time there i saw some sad situations. The DON was the most unprofessional person i have encountered in all my years of nursing, she would pit one staff member against another and whenever you are having an overwhelming day or working short handed she would pick & laugh about the situation. Dont even think about cashing in on your vacation pay that you earned if you intend to leave the company, they think of creative ways to take it from you. This company is micromanaged and the benefits suck. You are only paid for one holiday out of the year and the facility i worked for took that one away, we got it back months later only after numerous complaints & phone calls. Dont waste your time here! – less

Athens office
Care Manager (Former Employee), Athens, GA – June 5, 2013
Pros: going home
Cons: management is horrible!!!
Worst management ever, she is a bully that constantly kept up strife within the office...very clickish environment. The workload was horrible and the pay is an insult, do not work here you will be sorry. Corporate will not help you, we complained about our manager numerous times to no avail. You would be better off working at a chicken poultry and you – more... would make more money! Run from this job! – less

Worse place I have ever worked with the lowest pay.
intake (Former Employee), savannah, ga – May 25, 2013
Pros: enjoyed the members we served
Cons: low pay, unprofessional management, heavy workload, hardly any chance for advancement
in unihealth source the management and pay is horrible! the best part of my day was going home at the end of the day, the worst part was getting up the next day to go to work. I was harassed and bullied daily by my supervisor. when I reported the abuse to upper management I became the target and the bullying got worse. I was eventually let go and was – more... told I was not a fit for the company. they were correct I did not "fit in". I didn't fit in an office where the supervisor lies on the staff for their lack of work or a company that protects a bully and not listen to an entire staff who complaind to upper mangement! they did me a favor when they let me go I make 4 bucks an hour more now doing less work. if you enjoy a stressful work environment that may require anxiety meds with about 35% less pay than other source companies...this may be the job for you. – less

Work place bullying!!
Cna (Current Employee), Blythewood Sc – April 27, 2013
Pros: when its time to get off
Cons: everything
I recently started working here a month ago, alot of people tried to warn me but I still signed on the dotted line.. The supervisor for the weekend and the DON are best friends so what she says goes. I was scolded for helping a fellow cna and for that was given a paper to check off everytime I touched a patient because apparently my work wasnt completed. – more... After being made to clock out I was called to the office the following day and scolded again.. The DON stated that if she heard anythin about me that I would be fired even if I didnt smile because if I didnt smile I could work for their cooporation. The work load is CRAZY and dont expect a nurse to check a call light... Its not worth the headache that I leave with every night!! – less

Horrible & little pay!
Intake/care manager (Former Employee), Georgia – April 23, 2013
Pros: free lunch "sometimes"
Cons: pay, breaks, unrealistic deadlines
This place will over work you with very, very little pay! Source is very unorganized. Nothing is consistent, always change! Job description is totally different from what was told before hired! Not a place for a long-term career. Management could care less about work loads, they constantly dream-up more repetitive work for you to do. This place is sad, – more... and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Oh and the deadlines they have are so unrealistic! – less

Worst employer ever...enter at your own risk!
Prefer not to say (Former Employee), Norcross, GA – April 21, 2013
Pros: can't think of a single one.
Cons: everything about this company is a con.
Strange culture...almost cult-like, apparent at orientation and reinforced daily. Workload is ridiculous, especially for salaried employees. Management is incompetent, unreasonable, and often downright rude.

Easy going a pleasure to work for.
Payroll Disbursements Specialist (Former Employee), Norcross, GA – April 18, 2013
Pros: enjoyable department and group of ladies to work with.
Cons: moved the department over 1 1/2 hours away from toccoa.
For the most part all the ladies that I worked with in the payroll department were a pleasure to work with. We all worked as a team to get the payroll processed and disbursed. If there was ever a person that need extra help or was having a problem with part of her payroll someone in our department always stepped up and help her figure it out. LOVED – more... working in this department for this corporation. – less

Senior Medicare Claims Specialist (Former Employee), Norcross, GA – April 4, 2013
Pros: the company does offer a bonus
Cons: very stressful work environment
if you are white you will advance if you are not then you will not. It really is that simple. The pay is horrible and the workload is super stressful. You will lose your job if you are not able to perform your duties as assigned. The company's culture is racist.

If ur not in the ring of circle u dont get recongnize the aides dont get appreciated but yelled at . No thank you or how r you. Jes clock in n do ur job shut up n dont – more... say "jack dittly"or squak. The company covers up their mistakes by blaming the lowest person on the poll n thats tbe nurse aide. They threat tbe good ones like slaves n reward tbe slackers with days of or months.thats tbe worst placr I hve ever wrk in . – less

If you want to be treated like a 5 year old.
Field staff (Former Employee), Cumming, Ga. – February 16, 2013
Pros: per visit rate.
Cons: everything else, favoritism, lack of support
Condescending on site manager and corporate administration completely out of touch with patient care in the field. Unrealistic expectations and disorganization in the offices. Since last administrator (3rd or 4th since been there) took over last spring, about 80% turnover. Everyone not fired has been quitting or going to PRN status due to not wanting – more... to deal with the office staff. New nurses come and leave within a month or two after seeing what they got themselves into. No appreciation for job well done, but jump on you and get called into the "Principal's" office if mistake is made by an employee "not in the club" (even those new and still learning Pruitt's nursing routines). Club members protected and not reprimanded for blatant noncompliance. – less

na (Former Employee), estill sc – February 11, 2013
Pros: none absolutely none
Cons: treatment of the residents is like something out of a horror movie
This company is horrible. They don't care about their residents or employees. Raises are dismal if at all. Supplies are limited. Expectations are unrealistic. By far the worst place i have worked in my 20 year career in this industry. Insurance is a joke.

Great company
Administrator (Former Employee), Norcross, GA – January 21, 2013
Pros: excellent education
Cons: a lot of paperwork
UHS-Pruitt is one of the few companies to complete the state required AIT program. The company stays on top of new regulations and fully educates staff. Highly competitive environment, not for the weak spirited! The facilities have great quality outcomes and strive for excellence.

Difficult place to work, very "clickish" and almost impossible to advance
Regional Education Coordinator (Former Employee), Norcross GA – January 3, 2013
Pros: good cafeteria with quality food at reasonable prices (also owned by pruitt)
Cons: long hours, no compensation for excess hours worked
The organization touts tenents that are fabulous. They speak to both professional and personal ethics that should translate to a great work environment and excellent patient care, However, very few people actually embrace those tenents, therefore they are not upheld. At the end of the day, Pruitt is just another company whose eye is soley on the bottom – more... line. – less

Harsh work environment
former CNA (Former Employee), Blythewood – December 18, 2012
Cons: stressful, unfriendly, have to work when sick, dhec is always at the facility, no room for growth
I worked for this company almost 3 yrs, I never received a raise or promotion. They do not appreciate their hard workers, nor do they allow room for growth. I worked in a very antagonistic environment,
they pick about the smallest things, if you have a problem with the staff nothing gets done. The DON, unit managers, and ward clerks are all very rude – more... and nasty. They do not know how to resolve problems. The administrator is terrible and ignorant. If you complain, nothing happens, he does not know how to. discipline staff. They gloat about firing people and they laugh at it. The work load is overwhelming, stressful, and unrealistic. I would not recommend this company to anybody, not even my worst enemy. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE EMPLOYEES OR THE PATIENTS, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY. That " committed to caring" is not something they truly believe in, it's the money. – less
