Project Manager, Vega Baja, PR - March 11, 2015
A typical day at work begins with progress meetings to confirm completed work and align the team for the daily goals/objectives. Attend to design, cost, schedule meetings. Prepare project estimates, plans, schedule, submittals, procure material, monitor orders, monitor the fabrication, help to continuously find opportunities to improve processes and minimize unnecessary costs. Hardest part of my job is layoff to external contracted employees when the project is finished and there are no other project to relocate them. Most enjoyable part is working with a big diversity of people from the employee that clean to the director of operations. I learned how to diversify in the people management and communication depending on the level in the organization. The management is very helpful and available.
