Here's what people have asked and answered about working for and interviewing at Underwriters Laboratories.
Company was very flexible with hours, as long as I put in my required hours of 40 hours a week. Company often extended us an early leave prior to major holidays. On Fridays we had Jeans day. During lunches we were able to play basketball, volleyball, take walks on trails around the lake as well as using the in-house Gym.
Very casual and hands on regarding the position. In addition being introduced to the possible job location and co-workers if offered the opportunity.
I was very impressed.
There were no drug tests done before hiring.
I am totally dedicated to what UL does for public safety. Very few companies test products for safety and those that do, do not have the reputation that UL has.
