Were able to socialise in both the camp or in town. The restrictions on grog were neccesary but not too harsh.
Boilermaker (Former Employee), Moranbah Qld – April 13, 2012
Pros: good roster & pay was good
My view of United was not bad. They were lacking in direction, authority and control early in the job but to their credit got on top and over the line on what was a pretty difficult job at times. The weather was very wet at times which made the site difficult and sometimes uncomfortable. the blokes were all good. learnt a bit about co-ordination and – more... timing and picked up a few handy tips of the trade. The camp rooms and beds were excellent though the food was sometimes ordinary. Over all. Ok. – less
Welding Inspector (Former Employee), Moranbah Queensland – March 29, 2012
Pros: good hourly rate
Cons: long hours 22 days straight, no breaks
I was a subcontractor, I was paid on time and had no real issues with united group, I was with them for 16 months on one job, which is pretty good for a subcontractor.
