Traditional Foodways Intern, Arcata, CA - November 9, 2016
For this position I was able to go into the community and talk with community members about their experiences with food and foodways. I had the opportunity to attend different cultural and social events and documenting food preparation. Often work was done independently, and had the opportunity to work outside of the office from my own personal laptop. The hardest part sometimes was to get to events, sometimes they were far away. The best part was talking and documenting about food and how different families prepared them.
