Management will destroy this company
Customer Service (Former Employee) –  TXNovember 2, 2017
Low morale caused by poor management skills. Hard workers and great team efforts by employees despite no incentives to go above and beyond. Don’t choose them as your employer if you want to have any personal life outside of your job. You are expected to live and breathe this place.

This company is dying
Supervisor (Former Employee) –  CompanySeptember 9, 2017
This company is dying. Chemical prices are to high and the company is losing business left and right. This company may be prime for a buyout in the future. The company is going through a re-organization so if you do apply and get a job you may not have it for long. The company has already laid off people from several sites. My recommendation is to stay away until they get situated. Also if you are getting into customer service don't do it way overworked and underpaid.
Pros
None
Cons
Health care expensive.

Think twice before working for Univar
Sales (Former Employee) –  SoutheastMay 15, 2017
The culture at Univar has changed and continues to change and not for the better. Management for the most part in incompetent with no interpersonal people skills many should never have been put in this position. Univar does not value long term employees and views them as an expense not an asset . I was with Univar 5 years and it was the biggest waste in my career. Discrimination based on both age & race is everywhere Univar is the good old boy system not a career but a layover
Pros
pay & benefits
Cons
everything else poor work enviroment

Univar - Not Employee Oriented
Account Manager (Former Employee) –  NYJanuary 19, 2017
Sales reps are not valued. Compensation plans change throughout the course of the year and people get paid short of what they are promised if the company overall does not perform as hoped.

Things may change with new leadership in place.

A more laid back type of job.
Senior Sales Operations Business Analyst Assistant (Current Employee) –  Downers Grove, ILDecember 29, 2016
Working for Univar was a great experience. The company itself has a do it yourself type of vibe that worked great for me because I like to handle tasks by myself. I liked that you didn't have to clock in or out and was not micro managed like other employers that I worked for. For the most part my fellow colleagues were friendly. I would give Univar a four star rating.
