About University of Dayton

More than 10,000 students make the University of Dayton one of the nation's largest Catholic universities and the largest private university in Ohio. The institution offers some 70 majors. UD was founded in 1850 by the Society of Mary (the Marianists). Well-known alumni include the late author and columnist Erma Bombeck and Super Bowl-winning NFL coaches Jon Gruden and Chuck Noll.
