Security Guard/Mobile Application Developer (Former Employee), Gainesville, FLMay 12, 2014
Pros: benefits, good network of co-workers.
Cons: departmental ignorance of outside departmental duties and time.
As a security guard the place does its best to make sure the employees are well taken care of. If you manage to stay a long period of time you can become apart of their museum family. Sometimes the upper management can lose touch with the realities of not being upper management and that shows on some of the tasks that they ask the lower staff to accomplish. When the financial problems began the over moral, like in most places, fell through the floor. As a result some left voluntarily and some were laid off. In the end looking back it was a pretty decent and enjoyable place to be.

what I learned
Teaching Assistant, Environmental Analysis (Former Employee), Gainesville, FLApril 29, 2014
During my experience at the University of Florida, I have learned how to communicate effectively, manage and be responsible for undergraduate students. I have taught them the skills needed to perform research such as develop experimental techniques, data collection, protocols and interpreting results. Furthermore, this experience has taught me how to multitask and use my time effectively.
