Student Tutor (Former Employee), Houston, TXMay 28, 2015
Pros: Was very flexible with my class schedule
Cons: No Cons for this job
Had to help all with Supply Chain Management. Had to learn different information to be a good tutor depending on the material each professor taught. It was a self managed job with no supervision but all professors were willing to help with any questions I had in order to assist students to the fullest. I enjoyed being able to teach and help students everyday. It helped me learn and be more patient. The most difficult part was when having to try and teach myself new material in front of the student but again helped me see that I have the ability to learn in the drop of a dime.

I love attending UHD, it is a very flexible campus that has met my needs. Its fairly small in comparison to the central campus. I love it here the people and students are friendly.

They are a great employer to work for and a great place to undergo your studies.

Assistant Professor (Former Employee), Houston, TXSeptember 5, 2013
Pros: being independent and working on my own
A typical day at work was teaching two or three communication classes. I did not have a rigid schedule

I learned that I had to do research there in addition to teaching

My supervisor was fair and nice

My co-workers were cordial and helpful when I needed it

The hardest part of the job was learning new classes to teach

The students were the most enjoyable part of the job because I really like to teach especially in my field of communication

Excellent university with lots of opportunity for undergraduates
Undergraduate Researcher and Peer Mentor (Current Employee), Houston, TXMarch 24, 2012
UHD's Natural Science Department and the Scholars Academy (UHD's science, technology, engineering, and mathematics honor society) help you make the best out of your undergraduate experience. I have run workshops, tutored, mentored for the honor society, and worked on two research projects with very supportive professors. If you take all the opportunities available, you'll get a stellar education.
