Other University of Massachusetts Employee Reviews
Job Work/Life Balance
Loved the people I worked with! Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians.
Culinary Worker (Former Employee) – Amherst, MA – November 18, 2017
Management was difficult and will dodge bullets to try and avoid paying their employees a fair wage. They promise your pay will increase and you will get paid what you should, seeing as you're literally doing the same job as people getting paid almost twice as much...... But it wont. And they don't.
Contributing Writer (Former Employee) – Boston, MA – November 16, 2017
I enjoyed the training and the tutoring/ note-taking positions that I worked at UMAss Boston. I was on work study in 1995 and 1996; but worked as an unpaid contributing writer in 2008-2011 when I returned to the Harbor Campus. I enjoy writing so the contributing writer/Associate Editor positions at UMass were good jobs.
I like to teach
I was paid minimum wage and had difficulty commuting to the University.
