Great Place to Work
Organic Chemistry Graduate Teaching Assistant (Current Employee), Wilmington, NCApril 21, 2014
Always loved going to work everyday. I learned a lot about communication and making sure things were done in a timely and efficient manner. The hardest part of the job was having to grade a bunch of lab reports. I love seeing my students understand and learn the material.

Great working atmosphere but pay is not great
Assistant Director (Current Employee), Wilmington, NCOctober 20, 2013
Pros: free tuition, good working atmosphere, good on campus facilities
Cons: low pay, limited advancement
There are some good benefits that come with working for UNCW but, because it is a state-funded institution, your chances of getting even a cost of living pay raise each year is very low.

School Career
Student Training Consultant (Former Employee), Wilmington, NCDecember 28, 2012
Pros: educational expereiences, working on team projects, learning compensation, training techniques
Cons: coordinating school, work, and voltunteering
I loved my educational experience. I worked full-time and went to school full-time. The hardest part about it was juggling a full work, school, and volunteer schedule. Most enjoyable experiences were my Human Resources classes, I had one professor in particular that helped me see why I love Human Resources field.

Exciting Job
Simulation Lab Consultant (Current Employee), Wilmington, NCOctober 10, 2012
Pros: being creative, troubleshooting, working with students and faculty
Cons: no advancement in the near future; no remote work opportunities
I work in the School of Nursing at UNCW. I enjoy my job and look forward to coming to work every day to work with the students and the opportunity to be creative on the job. I have learned a lot about time management and being flexible. My day may consist of sitting behind my desk all day working on simulation scenarios, updating manikins, or our websites, – more... etc; and/or out of my office space all day in the simulation labs working with faculty and students. Those are the days that make my job fun. If there were more room for advancement and remote work during downtime it would be the perfect situation for me. – less
