Pros: great way to be active on campus and to know the student body and teachers better.

Friendly work environment surrounded by fellow students
Department of Development Student Worker (Current Employee), Saint Paul, MNMarch 4, 2014
I thoroughly enjoy working in the Development Office. My supervisor is very understanding that I am a full-time student and allows me to choose my own hours. My co-workers are also full-time students so it is nice to be surrounded by people in the same position as me. I have made lifelong friends at this job and was introduced to people that I may not – more... have been friends with had I not started working here. A typical workday consists of scanning documents into the school's database for future retrieval; entering data about students, parents, and donors; delivering mail to other offices on campus. I developed a quicker, more efficient method of scanning documents into the database without having to print it on paper. This saves resources and time by cutting out unnecessary steps and sending documents directly to a digital folder. – less

Enormous College Campus with plenty of work daily providing job security
Janitor (Former Employee), Saint Paul, MNDecember 3, 2013
Pros: beautiful enormous facility to help maintain
Cons: parking was not free and limited spaces for employees
My shift was overnight and began and ended with swift, careful and consistent labor to ensure all tasks were completed before I left the building. I learned more about the culture of the college as I had some interaction with staff and students during my shift. The grounds were enormous and although I worked within a team, I very seldom would see my – more... colleagues. This was indeed challenging due to the required tasks that needed to be complete and the communication effort involved to ensure everything and everyone finished their assigned work. I made it a point to touch base with fellow employees and offerred my assistance to those who needed the extra hand. It was rewarding each night to complete and help fellow employees and feeling the sense of community with employees, students and faculty I encountered each shift. – less

It was ok.
General Laborer (Former Employee), Houston, TXMay 10, 2013
Pros: long breaks
Cons: 10 hour days, plus overtime.
It was my first job right out of high school and needed something until i figured what i wanted to do with my life. The job was not difficult once you learned a few basic things. There was very little room for advancement. It was a tedious and not so thrilling job once the nostalgia of working with airplanes wore off. It was a hard job just a relaxed – more... one and was very good with going to school even though they offered tuition reimbursement. It was ok overall but not something long term unless you didn't mind just staying in one place. – less
