Job Purpose: The Restaurant Manager is responsible for maintaining all applicable standards for the Front of the House and the Heart of the House staff during their shift.

Job Duties: Job performance will be evaluated based on the following:

Achieves specified financial objectives including: Building Positive Sales, Labor Costs; Food Cost; Beverage Cost; Controllables;
Fulfills all administrative responsibilities (Cash flow, hew hires, cash handling, record-keeping, scheduling; proper documentation of guest incidents, employee disciplinary actions, etc.

1. Genuine Hospitality
a. Promotes genuine hospitality by example; monitors service delivery and corrects deficiencies
b. Focus on the dining room 90% of the time during Peak Periods
c. Solicits guest feedback
d. Ensures responsible alcohol service
e. Proactively identifies and adjusts shift staffing needs
f. Fosters an environment of genuine caring and hospitality with employees

2. Great Food & Beverage
a. Maintains proper food quality and quantities during daily line checks
b. Executes proper prep levels; establishes ordering levels accordingly
c. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all food specs and recipes
d. Ensures that all food is served according to recipe and temp.
e. Monitors Ticket Times
f. Ensures all food handling and health department guidelines are adhered to
g. Proper execution of sanitation and cleanliness standards

3. Teaching & Learning
a. Delivers effective teaching sessions to improve operations including role playing and use of teaching notes
b. Administers timely, effective employee reviews to further learning.
c. Oversees staff in order to reduce turnover
d. Ensures proper training for all new hires
e. Motivates employees to improve performance and celebrate positive results


  • 2-5 years of progressive experience as a Manager in a full-service restaurant
  • Proven leadership skills (high energy, urgency, courage, charisma, professional appearance)
  • Chain restaurant experience strongly preferred
  • Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, with extensive standing/walking.
  • May lift materials and/or product up to 50 pounds or more.
