Internship, Spartanburg, SC - May 17, 2016
A typical day as an intern was to make copies, file paper, answer phone, take detailed messages, and sit in on staff meetings. I was also able to sit in on the many classes that the clients were required to take. Classes ranged on topics such as: economic stability, healthy relationships, men's health, and job readiness. I learned that sometimes parents need help to get back into the lives of their children when the child has been removed from the home by the state. The most enjoyable part of the job is when a client gives a testimony of the benefits that they have received from being apart of the program that the Fatherhood Coalition had to offer.
