Friendly atmosphere, decent wage, OT available and short commute to work
Ops Receiving Manager (Former Employee) –  Miami, FLMarch 17, 2017
They had a open door policy so it was easy to talk to management . The atmosphere was very friendly, and you where sure to make your 40hr or more. Also there were great sales training and support from all departments. There were some issues with management and a lot of turnover among senior level positions. The company had plenty of opportunities for growth but was closed and brought out this year.

Good workspace. No cramped areas.
Material Handler (Former Employee) –  Camden, SCFebruary 27, 2017
Long hours. Repetitive and boring after a while. I learned about the company in general pertaining to what they actually do. Management is ok. They do their job. Some individuals take too serious with micromanaging. Hardest part of the job was having to pull the extra weight during lunch breaks because the machines run nonstop 24/7. The most enjoyable part was the amount of scheduled days off we had.
Pros
You only work 14 days total out of the month. If u need extra money, there is overtime available at times.
Cons
Short breaks and long hours.

Stand-Forklift Order Picker (Current Employee) –  Lawrenceville, GADecember 11, 2016
Not a bad working environment far as the people. They urge Safety. The only thing I don't like about the company is the compensation and the facility not being climate controlled. When its hot, its very hot. When its cold you can get sick easy. There is no vending machine in the break-room either. There is not enough operating equipment for the whole staff.
Pros
Fair Management
Cons
Poor working environment and poor raises due to company budget

Not a good place to work
Worker (Former Employee) –  Little Hocking, OHJanuary 26, 2017
This place is run with the least amount of people. The management is a real joke. They have no clue what they are doing. The training you get is very minimal. There is no HR help and you never know when your paycheck is going to be correct. I would think twice about applying for this job.
Pros
Employees are great to work with
Cons
Management makes up the rules as they go. Pay sucks.

Sales (Former Employee) –  Grand Rapids, MIDecember 12, 2016
Management will continually promise things and never follow through. They expect top performance with minimal pay. You'll be oncall/work holidays and weekends. Some positions will interfere with family life. Do yourself a favor and keep looking with other employers.
Pros
Lots of overtime
Cons
Minimal pay, no management follow through, no job security

Director (Current Employee) –  Long Beach, CAFebruary 2, 2017
Company with a long standing history with great reputation is no longer. Sorry to see so many good people be let go because of the acquisition. If you need wonderful team members with international experience, look for former UTI employees.

Overall not a bad place to work. Pay is not that great. And you really don't feel appreciated.
Material Handler (Current Employee) –  Moberly, MOOctober 19, 2016
Most of the people are good to work with unless they are friends with one of the leads or supervisors. Then they can do whatever they want to. But anyone else has to make sure they stay busy or gets written up or pointed.
Pros
None
Cons
Favoritism, discrimination against age

Export Agent (Former Employee) –  Springfield Gardens, NYSeptember 14, 2016
A typical day at work is handling about 25 to 35 accounts; in & out/ assembly's & randoms going to TLV. Answered emails & phone calls throughout the day. Processed paperwork using systems; UOP & 1 view to provide a HAWB's. Picked up freight all over the states being cost effective & follow up with the drivers to reach on time. A lot of problem solving. Management was straight work, no play. Environment very strict, straight to the point. Getting into the freight forwarding industry was a lot to learn since it was my first time in the industry dealing with one of the tough country. The most enjoyable part was keeping busy.
Pros
Work, complimentary lunch, co-workers some were nice
Cons
Management, no stability, a lot of drama & no teamwork

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Whitestown, INMarch 15, 2017
It was a wonderful job with some amazing people, the turnover was a bit high and I think that there should have been a bit more training for supervisors and managers. All in all it was a great place to work for.
