District Inventory Specialist (Former Employee) – Chester, VA – March 1, 2017
The company had ample opportunity to promote up in the company. There were some management challenges during organizational restructuring. But the company was able to rebound after the economic strain.
Material Handler (Former Employee) – Camden, SC – February 27, 2017
Long hours. Repetitive and boring after a while. I learned about the company in general pertaining to what they actually do. Management is ok. They do their job. Some individuals take too serious with micromanaging. Hardest part of the job was having to pull the extra weight during lunch breaks because the machines run nonstop 24/7. The most enjoyable part was the amount of scheduled days off we had.
You only work 14 days total out of the month. If u need extra money, there is overtime available at times.
Director (Current Employee) – Long Beach, CA – February 2, 2017
Company with a long standing history with great reputation is no longer. Sorry to see so many good people be let go because of the acquisition. If you need wonderful team members with international experience, look for former UTI employees.
Worker (Former Employee) – Little Hocking, OH – January 26, 2017
This place is run with the least amount of people. The management is a real joke. They have no clue what they are doing. The training you get is very minimal. There is no HR help and you never know when your paycheck is going to be correct. I would think twice about applying for this job.
Employees are great to work with
Management makes up the rules as they go. Pay sucks.
Continue to look for a job before you settle on a job with this company
Sales (Former Employee) – Grand Rapids, MI – December 12, 2016
Management will continually promise things and never follow through. They expect top performance with minimal pay. You'll be oncall/work holidays and weekends. Some positions will interfere with family life. Do yourself a favor and keep looking with other employers.
Lots of overtime
Minimal pay, no management follow through, no job security
Stand-Forklift Order Picker (Current Employee) – Lawrenceville, GA – December 11, 2016
Not a bad working environment far as the people. They urge Safety. The only thing I don't like about the company is the compensation and the facility not being climate controlled. When its hot, its very hot. When its cold you can get sick easy. There is no vending machine in the break-room either. There is not enough operating equipment for the whole staff.
Poor working environment and poor raises due to company budget
