Great place to work. Value add opportunities are high Meaningful work Lots of change Strict governance system Challlenging union issues Transformational changes are interesting Work conflict in units needs resolution all the time
University of the Western cape library and linguistics department are very interesting field of work. they are very accommodating and good to work with the management there. it is great pleasure having to be surrounded by books everyday. i am now a knowledgeable individual because during my spare time i would read the books and also as part of my job read those books so that i can help students when they have inquiries.
one would swap times with colligues if they are not feeling well and there is team work
typical day that i had to work without any break from the morning until very late due to accomodating students. i have learned that helping others is very essential good management Team co-workers when student doesnt qualify and he/she is in need when you have helped someone achive his/her dreams
during the busy time the company provided with lunch, so that no one can go out for lunch but help with the que.
there are times i have to work for long hours, due to the pressure of students and have to meet deadline
educator support Assistant manager (Former Employee) – Bellville cape town – March 18, 2013
hectic but coping because of prior planning, Learnt a lot about managing people, working together makes things easier (management wise). Most enjoyable part of my job is ranging trainings and communicating with educators from different schools(56) that im working with now. Hardest part was video recordings of lessons but as time goes i learnt how to cope and make it easy for me and educators to be recorded.
flexible times of attempting the work to be done
long hours but worth it because goals or outcomes are met
