This position requires at least a masters degree in an approved area of human services, (Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, etc.) and A MINIMUM OF 2 (TWO) OR MORE YEARS OF DIRECT CLINICAL COUNSELING EXPERIENCE PREFERABLY IN COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH. PRIOR LEADERSHIP OR MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS.
Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) means a physician, licensed clinical psychologist, licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, substance abuse treatment practitioner, or certification as a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist, or a licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner.

Clinical experience means providing direct clinical services to clients wit a diagnosed mental illness. You must have had supervised internships, practicum, and also field experience. Under general direction, conducts and coordinates quality and utilization review activities of mental health services by collecting and reviewing statistics of services provided, working with providers, co-workers and other agencies to discuss or explain services provided or denied, collaborate with mental health professionals and others to review and interpret patient records and documentation when requests/claims for reimbursements are denied, write statistical reports and prepare correspondence, review state regulations, review policies and procedures and make recommendations to management on methods to conform to regulations, assist in educating staff on regulation changes. Skills needed for this position include planning, organizing, evaluating program operations and staff, knowledge of state Medicaid regulations applicable to treatments and reimbursement, basic utilization review procedures and techniques; basic principles and practices of supervision, and English grammar and usage. Must also be able to maintain objectivity and confidentiality, gather and analyze data, draw relevant conclusions, make viable recommendations, communicate effectively both one-on-one and in groups. Must have the ability to prepare and maintain accurate records, interpret rules and regulations, read and understand client records, work tactfully and effectively with staff, clients, families, intermediaries and providers. Must have proven skills in preparation of clear and concise REPORTS INCLUDING CORRECT GAMMAR, PUNCTUATION AND SPELLING. (CANDIDATES SHOULD PROVIDE A WRITTEN SAMPLE IF AVAILABLE.)
This position will manage up to two clients. Under general direction will provide services (training and reinforcement of activities of daily living, case management, documentation of services, and crisis response (on-call) in mental health supportive in-home services for young and mature adults; provides direct contact services to assigned clients several times per week consistent with ISP strategies and needs; participates in all staff development activities and completes program participant services documentation.
Eligible candidates possess both knowledge, skill and experience. A thorough background investigation, reference check for all previous employers in relevant positions, and personality and/or psychological evaluation is required during the employment process.
