Summary

This position is responsible for managing the Corporate Accounting staff and execution of the day to day corporate accounting functions in support of the Corporate Controller and the region.

Essential Functions

  • Support Corporate Controller in their duties
  • Supervise and assign duties to corporate accounting staff
  • Assist with the completion of month end close for all regions
  • Review General Ledger at month end and make adjustments as necessary
  • Create and maintain monthly consolidated financials
  • Submit consolidated reporting package to Corporate Controller
  • Submit regional financial reports and packages to appropriate regional management
  • Perform Financial analysis on a monthly basis and make recommendations for changes if necessary
  • Create an maintain consolidated cash flow forecast on a bi-weekly basis
  • Conduct onsite reviews as well as supervision of annual physical inventory at local fabrication facility
  • Oversee all corporate payroll processing
  • Conduct treasury functions as necessary
  • Review quarterly IRS and liability payroll reports from ADP
  • Assist with yearly audit
  • Lead budgeting process for region

Other Duties

  • Assist with other departments as required
  • Domestic and international travel from time to time to help other entities

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer complaints and answer customer’s questions regarding policies and procedures
  • Supervise the work of the accounting employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems
  • Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputes. This means that you must always to readily available to the accounting staff
  • Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff, as instructed by the Corporate Controller
  • Implement corporate and departmental policies, procedures and service standards in conjunction with management
  • Train and instruct employees in job duties and company policies or arrange for training to be provided as approved by the Controller
  • Review records and reports pertaining to activities such as production, payroll and shipping to verify details, monitor work activities and evaluate performance
  • Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems
  • Evaluate employee’s job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend to the Controller appropriate personnel action
  • Participate in disciplinary action and termination of staff under the supervision of the Corporate Controller
  • Recruit, interview and select employees, under the supervision of the Corporate Controller

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 10+ years of experience in all aspects of accounting
  • Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing or equivalent type of ERP system
