Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the Business Analyst as part of the Project Management team delivers process support to end users in the organization ensuring the efficient and effective use of various types of software programs. Maximizes the benefit of IT by aiding in the validation, verification, communication, and resolution of system and software application issues through analytical and problem-solving skills. Interfaces regularly with the rest of the IT Team to assist with general user support.

2. Application Support Responsibilities:
a. Develop and maintain business unit processes
Meet with business units and develop standard processes
Create summary and detailed process documentation
Defines and documents customer business functions and processes.
Consults with functional unit management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants and other governmental organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of case management systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users.
Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
Reads and interprets case management systems and functional technical literature and translates in terms understandable to the end-users.

3. IT operational responsibilities

c. Promotes HIPAA and HITECH Compliance within all applications and systems
d. Maintains application licensing compliance
4. Performs other duties as assigned by IT Manager and IT Director
1. Bachelor’s degree, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Certifications and work experience may be substituted for education requirement.
2. Certification in or strong working knowledge of the Windows OS (Server and Workstation) and SQL Server required.
3. Strong working knowledge of McKesson Horizon Home Care preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of general networking concepts required.
5. Strong track record in application management either in healthcare or another team-based industry preferred.
6. Ability to analyze problems and processes to determine technical solution.
