Experience Builder, and good pay
Accounts Payable Customer Service (Former Employee), Nashville, TN – May 23, 2013
Pros: gaining experience, temp to hire, and pay
Cons: no benefits, a lot of commuting.
Vaco Staffing is a really good company to work for. Management is concerned about the safety of their employees and they make sure that they match up your hourly/salary request. Also, they check to make sure that you like your current assignment and if you would like a temp to hire position. The hardest part of the job is when the assignment end and – more... you have to start another job. The most enjoyable part of the job is the experience that you gain, while working for different companies. – less

Fun and flexible workplace
Jr. Systems Administrator (Former Employee), Brentwood, TN – May 6, 2013
The environment is conducive to a good work/life balance most of the time. There is very little room for advancement though.

Consultant
Software Developer (Former Employee), Orlando, FL – April 18, 2013
Pros: flexible hours, natural light.
Cons: not able to work in a team environment.
Vaco is a contracting company that hired me out to OneBlood to work on multiple projects.

My main focus was the sole developer and lead for a critical project that incorporated legacy data from multiple blood banking centers into one company repository.

I enjoyed just being enveloped in code and development while really being able to hone my sql skills. – more... However, I prefer to work with a team of developers and was the only one on this project for more than a year. – less

EDI Analyst (Former Employee), Richmond, VA – April 16, 2013
Pros: team outtings
Typical day was filled with receiving challenging assignments. I learned how to be flexible and work with an established tem. Management was supportive and the team welcomed my ideas on projects. The hardest part of the job was learning the business and understanding how my position impacted business. I enjoyed meeting and working with the people.

Not the most professional
Dont worry about it (Former Employee), California – February 18, 2013
I am currently employed by Vaco who placed me in a position I have absolutely no background in. When speaking to the recruiter he assured me that everyone who was previously in my position complained about the workers being snobby. He said eventually the people at the company warmed up to them. My boss barely speaks two words to me and leaves me out – more... of everything. When I make a mistake, GOD FORBID. When the recruiter mentioned they have had a hard time filling the position since January of 2012 this should have been a red flag.

Being that I am unhappy with the position, I've been job hunting to find something new and noticed there was still a posting for the job I have now. Oh, and it was posted 11 days ago.

Not only that, I am working 40 hrs but my paycheck stubs always have less time for the hours I worked. – less

Not good at reponding to communication
Financial Analyst (Former Employee), Richmond, VA – January 20, 2013
Pros: cpe seminars
Cons: communication and response to call and emails is lacking
I worked for VACO and would never do it again. They are not honest. They do a poor job of responding to emails, job applications and phone calls. I am still waiting for return calls from 2010, 2011 and 2012.

A company of hardworking but outgoing people
Customer Service Representative - Call Center (Former Employee), Tampa, FL – January 11, 2013
Pros: compensated nicely, and was sited at great locations
Cons: when asked to leave the site that was it, with out notice.
This company is a staffing company. I was put on less then a handful of sites. They all included customer service. I worked in inviting companies to come out for a fundraiser with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, as well as work with Verizon Wireless with there new Roadside Service agency. And lastly I was part of the Cash for Clunkers project where – more... I help verify the claims and I was responsible for approving or denying the claims. All very important jobs, all paid very well. I was compensated nicely 8.50-20 hourly. Working anywhere from 30-45 hours. – less

Do yourself a favor don't apply for this powerbuilder developer position offered by Vaco in Memphis. The company that you will be reporting to International Paper is in complete disarray and unprofessional. They have a high turnover rate because of the biased and clueless management and other staff. The 3 months that I worked for this company were the most unprofessional that I have ever experienced.

Working at Vaco
Medicaid Specialist - Contractor (Former Employee), Brentwood, TN – November 21, 2012
Vaco was just a temporary job and I had no experience in the medical billing field, but I was a quick learner and did my job very well. I enjoyed working with everyone there and build a good relationship with them.

Good consulting firm
Assistant Controller (Current Employee), Atlanta, GA – July 30, 2012
Pros: good payroll person.
Cons: stated above.
Vaco, is a good recruiting firm especially if there is a hot job on the horizon. However, they could do a little better in keeping their consultants warm when nothing is going on.

I don't really work for VACO, they send you out on contracts.

The companies that I contracted with were great companies, Corporate Environments of Atlanta and MFG were very – more... interesting to work for and learn the business and culture.

I am a professional so I guess the hardest part of my job is getting thrown into companies who just want you to come in and fix their problem but are so overwhelmed that they barely want to explain what they need help with. Gathering information is the most intense part of my job. Gathering accurated is even tougher. Hoewever, once that painful process is complete then it is smooth from there.

The most enjoyable part of the contracts is getting to know the people who work with the company regularly. – less
